ARAGON - Complete Story Bible
THE WORLD
Aragon is a land once unified by the legendary hero Ragna, formed from three kingdoms: Aethelgard (dragons), Malakor (demons) and Solara (humans). Ragna had three sons: Atreus, Kingsmen, and Midas. After Ragna's mysterious death, the throne above all three kingdoms sat empty, and Ragna's three companions, who he had entrusted to choose his successor, could not agree among themselves, as each had come to back a different son. The dragons under king Ember of the dragons championed Atreus, cunning and inventive, believing a ruler must be sharp enough to see through deception. The demons under king Azarael of the demons championed Kingsmen, a natural born warrior, believing a weak king was no king at all. The humans under king Michael of the humans championed Midas, who held no particular gift for war or invention but could sway any room and any crowd, believing the true measure of a king was the loyalty of his people. The three companions could not agree on a successor, triggering the Great Crown War which has lasted millennia. The war is currently in its 4th iteration.
Each iteration of the Crown War has lasted a vastly different span. The 1st Crown War lasted nearly 1,000 years. The 2nd Crown War lasted 600 years. The 3rd Crown War, the most devastating iteration of all, lasted 2,000 years. The current, 4th iteration is 1,400 years in, with no end in sight.
The capital city Lotus sits abandoned. Inside it sits the Iron Crown and the Ivory Throne, unclaimed by any faction. Ancient law states "He who dons the Iron Crown and sits upon the Ivory Throne rules Aragon." But the throne's true function is far more significant. It controls all ryu across Aragon subconsciously like a remote control, channeling the collective life force of every living being to suppress the seven titan tombs. Ragna built this as a failsafe knowing he couldn't remain forever.
RAGNA’S SONS
Ragna had three sons: Atreus, Kingsmen, and Midas. Their mother is remembered only as the Oracle, a title rather than a name, and nothing further about her survives in the historical record. Each son was gifted in a different way, and each came to represent a different philosophy of what a ruler should be. Atreus was cunning, inventive, and sharp, a genius whose mind won him the backing of Ember and the dragons of Aethelgard, who believed a king must be perceptive enough to see through deception. Kingsmen was a natural born warrior, whose strength won him the backing of Azarael and the demons of Malakor, who believed a king who could not fight was no king worth following. Midas possessed neither great cunning nor great strength, but he could sway any room and hold the loyalty of any crowd, and it was this gift that won him the backing of Michael and the humans of Solara, who believed the truest measure of a ruler was the devotion of his people. None of the three sons ever sat the Ivory Throne. All three died, each in a different kingdom, each in a manner that would come to define that kingdom's culture for millennia afterward. Kingsmen died on the battlefield, cut down mid-campaign. His death is the origin of Fatalis itself, the demon belief that an invisible fate determines who is right and who is wrong, and that scars and combat prove ideology; a philosophy born directly from watching their strongest champion, backed because he could fight, die fighting anyway. Atreus died attempting to experiment with demon black magic, poisoned by forces he did not fully understand. His death is the original wound behind the bitter relationship between dragons and demons, predating and later compounded by the atrocities of the 1st Crown War. Midas died at the hands of a rebel group within Solara itself, killed by his own people rather than by either of the other kingdoms. All three sons were mourned as martyrs by their respective kingdoms, their deaths folded into a founding myth alongside Ember, Azarael, and Michael. It is not publicly known, and will not be revealed until near the end of the story, that all three of Ragna's sons, like Ragna himself, were killed by the Severus: Kingsmen shot down on the battlefield by Severus hands, Atreus poisoned by black magic the Severus contaminated, and Midas killed by the very rebel group that was, in truth, the Severus operating within Solara from the beginning.
THE RYU SYSTEM
Ryu is the fundamental life energy in all living things.
Ryu Signatures are unique elemental types each person is born with. Think of ryu as electricity and signatures as appliances. Everyone's signature is unique but falls under one of seven archetypes:
- Fire (Common) - Strong offense but drains quickly. Subclasses: fire construct, lava, smoke
- Water (Common) - Best defense, weak offense. Subclasses: ice, lightning
- Earth (Common) - Jack of all trades, versatile. Subclasses: nature, wind, metal
- Light (Rare) - Can heal but inconsistent and causes backlash. Subclasses: teleportation, foresight
- Darkness (Rare) - Can copy one ryu type at a time and corrupt it but hard to contain without corrupting the user. Subclasses: plunder, reality alteration
- Creation (Very Rare) - Can construct anything fully understood but drains life force. Subclasses: necromancy
- Destruction (Almost Unheard Of) - Unmatched in pure 1v1 combat but dangerous to allies and surroundings. No subclasses.
- Glitch (Ashen/Ragna specific) - the most original, most powerful form of ryu. It can create, destroy, and even alter concepts. Capable of rewriting fate, existence, and is an omnipotent power once awakened. This power exists beyond the stretches of time, space, and reality itself with each and every move of it being absolute.
Mastery matters more than type. A master fire wielder defeats a beginner destruction wielder easily.
Neutral Applications (universal fundamentals)
- Haki - Flexes ryu outward, can subdue weaker beings. Masters can give commands by force
- Horyu - Reduces ryu output to hide from detection, leaving user vulnerable. Masters appear clinically dead
- Soryu - Creates detection sphere sensing ryu levels. Masters can read intent and basic instincts
- Kenryu - Fortifies body parts but leaves others vulnerable. Masters can switch rapidly
Double Impact - Basic technique shifting kenryu suddenly between body parts creating a two-hit effect. Scalable but weakens each iteration.
Glitch - Exists outside all seven categories. Not a signature type but pure creation ryu in its original ancient form. Predates the seven categories because it IS the source of all categories. Only two beings have ever possessed it: Ragna and Ashen Greyfield.
THE TITANS
The seven titans are primordial beings existing before time, space, matter or the concept of existence itself. They hold pure ryu, the original ancient form stronger than any diluted human equivalent. Pure ryu allows precise control over exactly when, what, where and how the element executes.
Titans cannot truly die. They are the literal concept of each element.
The seven titans originated from a single primordial being that existed before them. This being died and fragmented into the seven titans. Each titan is therefore incomplete, feeling the absence of the other elements as a constant wound. They all seek to recombine into the original being. Except one.
The Seven Titans and their sins
- Ragna - Titan of Creation / Glitch - "The Honoured One" - Sin: Pride. The most powerful being in existence. Felt distanced by his incomparable strength. Chose to become human to experience genuine connection. This enraged the other titans.
- Overlord - Titan of Darkness - "The Void Consumer" - Sin: Sloth. Wants eternal stagnation so he can rule like the old days
- Horizon - Titan of Light - "The Starblight" - Sin: Gluttony. Second strongest, wants to hoard all attention
- Virus - Titan of Earth - "Scorn of Life" - Sin: Envy. Wants to evolve beyond anything conceivable
- Havoc - Titan of Destruction - "Destruction Incarnate" - Sin: Wrath. Mindless destruction born from confusion about his own existence
- Thalassa - Titan of Water - "The Ocean's Wrath" - Sin: Lust. Obsessed with having a tangible body as a water titan
- Vulcan - Titan of Fire - "The Dying Sun" - Sin: Greed. Wants power, fame and respect everywhere simultaneously
Ragna's Choice: Understanding that connection was the answer to incompleteness rather than recombination, Ragna chose to become human to prove it. He fought and imprisoned his siblings not out of hatred but because they were wrong about the cure for their emptiness. He then chose to reincarnate rather than simply disappear, ensuring his power and understanding would return when needed.
Titan Tombs: Each titan is sealed in a tomb across Aragon. The tombs weaken during the Crimson Moon, a rare astronomical event. Only two crimson moons have occurred in recorded history. The first was the night Ragna died. The second is approaching, a few months from the story's present.
Known Tomb Locations
- Horizon - Sealed beneath the demon colosseum in Malakor. Sealed there by the Black Fury Scarface.
- Virus - Sealed on the Tempest Dome, a floating island where the Asterion mage clan once lived.
THE FATES AND THE EXOUSIA
Public Knowledge
The word "titan" carries no meaning to ordinary people in the present era. Over 7,000 years have passed since Ragna's rebellion, and the official record, the one taught, worshipped, and repeated across all three kingdoms, holds only that Ragna defeated six evil overlords who once ruled over the mortal world, and sealed them away. Nobody living recalls the word titan itself. This is not the natural erosion of memory over millennia. It is deliberate.
Exousia
Fragments of the titans' original, primordial power, formed gradually over millennia from the residual energy, the primordial being released when it first fragmented into the seven titans. Countless Exousia shards exist scattered across the cosmos as a result, drifting long after the fragmentation, in the same way real-world mass extinction events have been tied to meteor impacts. Of these countless shards, only five crashed onto Aragon. There is no Exousia for Creation or Destruction. Creation has none because Ragna, the titan of Creation, never fell the way his six siblings did. He was never sealed and left no shell behind to fragment further. Destruction's absence is unexplained publicly, tied to Havoc's own unresolved nature. The Five Fates: Five individuals who each recovered or claimed one of the five Exousia shards that fell to Aragon, and now rule as living gods over regions of belief and worship across the three kingdoms. Worn embedded in the chest, an Exousia halts its host's aging entirely, the sheer volume of ryu flooding through the shard sustaining the body indefinitely. The Fates present themselves as neutral entities, closer to old-world concepts of gods than to kings, neither benevolent nor cruel by design, simply above the mortal concerns of the three kingdoms. The Fates know exactly what they are. They are not naturally born gods, and they know it. Their divinity is a fragment of an imprisoned titan's leftover power, worn like a crown taken off a corpse. This is precisely why the historical record of Ragna's rebellion was deliberately destroyed and rewritten in the aftermath, not through the passage of time, but through the direct intervention of the Fates themselves, who could not allow the truth (that their power is nothing more than scavenged wreckage from beings mortals once worshipped and a mortal man once defeated) to survive as public knowledge. Their authority depends entirely on nobody ever connecting an Exousia to a titan.
Succession: A Fate's death is exceptionally rare, effectively unheard of across the entirety of recorded history, with only a single exception occurring later in the story. Because the Exousia halts aging, there is no natural death to create a vacancy, and no ritual or bloodline mechanism exists for passing one down peacefully. The only way to become a new Fate is to consume the previous Fate's Exousia directly from their chest, an act that is both murder and succession in the same motion. No formal precedent exists for this beyond the one time it occurs in the present story.
THE THREE KINGDOMS
AETHELGARD - The Dragon Kingdom
Geography: Aethelgard is an island built on the back of a Land Tortoise, an ancient creature thousands of years old. The entire kingdom rests on this living creature which can move the island overnight in emergencies, making Aethelgard impossible to invade through conventional military planning.
Three Guardians
- Kronos - Sky guardian, a serpentine cloud-like entity controlling aerial access and checking air merchants
- Leviathan - Sea guardian, a kraken controlling ocean access, checking sea merchants and providing his saliva as a critical component in dragonsteel forging
- The Land Tortoise - The kingdom's mobile foundation itself
Dragon Society: Extremely tight-knit. Dragons treat strangers as family and view the entire kingdom as one giant nest with the dragon king as leader. Highly emotional and bonded creatures connected through the Alpha Link, a psychic network all dragons share. Alpha dragons (king and dragon guards) can override subordinate dragons through this link, though this is rarely used as it causes mental harm and dragons feel each other's pain.
Economy: Barter and trade. Gold is decorative to dragons, used as building material because it withstands their heat. Dragons source what they need and bring it back, making prolonged wars economically devastating for them.
Architecture: Structures built from metals and precious materials that can withstand dragon fire and heat.
Daily Life: Dragons are cold blooded and primarily sunbathe during the day, becoming most active at night. Night markets are busy. Hatchlings train with older dragons learning to fly, breathe fire and crucially control fire to avoid burning their surroundings.
Birth Traditions: Hatchlings placed in communal caves in the center of settlements where all dragons generate warmth. The entire community guards them. Hatchlings meet their mother first regardless. The birth of a hatchling is celebrated communally.
Death Traditions: Natural death is rare and mourned seriously. Combat death is honored and celebrated as worthy. An unhatched egg is mourned collectively as a community failure.
Dragonsteel: Aethelgard's most valuable military material. Forged through a five stage process:
1. Black dragons (hotter, denser flames, longer horns) melt Asypherium using magma
2. Black dragon flames restructure the material
3. Skydrifters (larger, longer wings, wind based) create internal air pockets making it lighter
4. Volcanic environment purges the radioactive titan energy contamination
5. Leviathan's saliva mixed with specially prepared water acts as a permanent binding coagulant
This process is known only to dragons. Asypherium in raw form is brittle, too heavy and radioactive. Dragons neutralize all three flaws through this process. The forging requires the volcano of Aethelgard specifically as the heat required cannot be replicated elsewhere.
Dragon Subspecies: 47 known species living integrated with each other, connected through the Alpha Link. Notable ones include:
- Black Dragons - Black scales, longer horns, hotter denser flames. Critical for dragonsteel forging
- Skydrifters - Larger longer wings, wind based. Live at higher altitudes. Critical for dragonsteel forging. Have symbiotic relationship with Oscurions
- Oscurions - Smaller dragons with razor sharp bodies and tails. Help skydrifters clear obstacles, receive protection and shelter under skydrifter wings in return
- Lichtion - Appear ordinary but can mimic the appearance patterns and breath attacks of other dragons. Can only copy one type at a time. Cannot copy each other
Historical Atrocity: During the 1st Great Crown War, humans sport hunted dragons for gold under manufactured "damsel in distress" narratives. Dragons sent non-lethal warning raids stealing only food and resources. Humans ignored them. The dragon king's grief flooded the Alpha Link and triggered a frenzy killing 60% of humanity, 50% of demons and 30% of all life in Aragon. Dragons lost 20% of their own forces. This history shapes everything about Aethelgard's current culture and Basil's philosophy.
Eraneus and the Beast Kingdom: A kingdom of beast-like creatures (werewolves, giants, sirens etc) nearly wiped out by humans who hunted them under monster narratives. Basil (or a predecessor) intervened and saved them. Eraneus merged with Aethelgard. Beasts handle what dragons cannot: giants move heavy objects, sirens search underwater and sing at celebrations, werewolves navigate tight mountain and forest spaces. The beast kingdom barely fit on the island but built their place through genuine contribution.
Key Characters
Basil Drakon - The Dragon King (The White Emperor): A one in a century dragon born on a full moon who breathes ice instead of fire. Calm, strategic and deeply overprotective of his family. His philosophy is family first and extreme restraint in military action. He studied the 1st Crown War frenzy and built his entire reign around never letting that happen again. Controls the Alpha Link. Sends the dragon guards or Kaisel to oversee his daughter when he cannot be present himself. Took over Altaria's northern region himself rather than replace her after her death.
Ruby - The Dragon Princess: Basil's daughter. Blue blood (Arch blood) - a biological defect that only changes the color but has no other effect, though underground criminal networks believe consuming her blood grants dragon powers making her a constant target. Deeply dislikes royal duties and wants to be a warrior. Hotheaded and passionate. Has befriended both Kaisel and Alatrius, gravitating toward misfits. Trains with Fenrix against Basil's wishes. Her blood runs blue instead of red.
Kaisel - The King's Servant (The Dawnfall Reaper): An orphan hatchling found by Ruby. Appears to be the forbidden offspring of demon and dragon due to wyvern-like appearance but is actually a Black Fury with a genetic mutation. White-grey colored instead of black, one tail fin instead of two. Neither Kaisel nor anyone else knows his true nature. His ability is emitting an aurora-like light ranging from invisibility to blinding to scorching rays. Can shift between forms freely, unlike regular dragons who struggle with this. Named Dawnfall Reaper by Ruby (dragons call Black Furies Nightfall Reapers, so the Dawnfall Reaper chases away the night). Afraid of Black Furies despite being one.
The Dragon Guards (Cosmic, Thunder, Scorch): Three dragons who serve as direct bodyguards to the royal family and each command a region of Aethelgard. Each wears a Seal Stone, a voluntary suppressor of their vast powers symbolizing their choice to protect rather than conquer. Seal stones are only removed in true emergencies. Altaria was the fourth dragon guard, killed on a mission. Her seal stone sits at the palace gates as a memorial and her northern region was absorbed by Basil personally. The fourth position remains empty.
- Scorch - Earth dragon, commands eastern region, calmest of the three
- Thunder - Sea dragon, commands western region, most hotheaded and impatient
- Cosmic - Sky dragon, commands southern region, lone wolf philosophy, strongest dragon alive besides Basil, attends the Midnight Auction
Fenrix - The Beast King: Wolf-human hybrid, king of the beast faction. Runs the practical underside of the kingdom (events, politics, logistics) while dragons handle public-facing governance. Basil's closest friend and the only person who calls him simply Basil. Comical and warm. Secretly takes Ruby outside the kingdom to train her in combat against Basil's wishes. Met Basil a thousand years ago (ten years in dragon time) when Basil saved Eraneus from human genocide.
MALAKOR - The Demon Kingdom
Geography: Located in the Drakos Desert, a region of constant sandstorms and thunderstorms. No border patrols needed as only demons can navigate the storms. The kingdom is built inside a mountain carved to resemble a giant dragon skeleton laying on the ground, designed to intimidate dragons.
Architecture by section
- Skull - Royal family residence
- Ribcage - The demon colosseum
- Wings - Common living areas
- Tail - Merchant and trading district
Defense: The storms themselves deter invaders. Additionally demons possess a hivemind connection, making infiltration nearly impossible as any imposter is immediately detected by the collective consciousness.
Society: Built entirely around the philosophy of Fatalis, the belief that an invisible fate determines who is right and wrong. Scars are the social currency. More scars means more battles survived means ideology proven more correct. Weapons and ryu are considered disgraceful in traditional duels.
The Duel System: Three rounds resolving disputes and determining social hierarchy:
- Round 1: No ryu, no weapons. Pure physical combat
- Round 2: Weapons and basic ryu permitted
- Round 3: No rules, all out Winner is right. Loser is wrong. This applies to challenges for positions including king and warlord.
Culture: Demons love to fight as leisure but their greatest passion is feasting. Fighting requires enormous energy so eating is critical. Demons are the finest culinary artists in Aragon. Famous dishes include barbequed cactus wrapped in snake (tastes like bacon), lizard peels (good chew), and Devil's Finger, a fruit that is simultaneously spicy, sweet, sour and salty. Devil's Finger rots quickly in cold, making it rare outside Malakor, mostly a summer seasonal treat from merchants.
The Colosseum: A platform floating by chains above a void with a faint glow of light rising from it (secretly the glow of Horizon's sealed tomb). Lava flows at the sides. Weapons scattered across the platform for round two and three use.
Economy: Barter and trade. Demons are the most economically flexible of the three kingdoms, accepting both gold (which they like) and practical goods. Trading happens during the Sabbath, one day when the storms cease (through demon influence), allowing free movement in and out. Security is extremely high during Sabbath. This one-window system means if few traders come, demons are in serious trouble.
Founding Legend: Azarael, the first demon king, was one of Ragna's three companions during the titan rebellion. Unlike Ember (first dragon king with fire breath and wings) and Michael (first human king with armor and swords), Azarael possessed no supernatural abilities. Pure brute strength. Kept pace with godlike beings using only his claws. Demons built their entire civilization around what Azarael represented: the self is sufficient. His name is considered sacred. No demon has ever been named Azarael unless believed to be his reincarnation. No demon has yet matched him.
Naming and Death Philosophy: Demons do not believe in death. They believe the spirit passes into a name. Naming someone is welcoming the former spirit back. Hence the sanctity of Azarael's name.
Key Characters
Orpheus - The Demon King (The Blind One): Does not rely on strength but on music played on an ancient demon string instrument. Faster tempo increases speed. Louder volume increases strength. Quieter playing decreases detection. Blind. Uses echolocation. Was not always blind. Before becoming king he was a guard whose eyes were put out by Dante's parents when they stole the Yamato. Became demon king by defeating former king Hades. His blindness and musical power emerged from that wound. The Yamato blinded him and the Yamato's current wielder is Dante, son of the people who took his sight.
Scarface: An extremely old Black Fury captured by demons after he exhausted himself sealing Horizon into the tomb beneath the colosseum. Kept alive in Malakor, treated almost like a god. Has a claw scar across his eye. Used as the ultimate test for demons seeking to become warlord (the highest military rank below demon king). Demons are the only species to have ever captured a live Black Fury. Scarface stays not because he cannot leave but because he is old and recovering from sealing the third most powerful being in existence.
SOLARA - The Human Kingdom
Geography: Located in the Arkine Mountains where winds are strong (artificially amplified by human machines). Cold deters demons. Altitude limits most dragon flight (skydrifters being the exception, specifically countered by the wind machines). Humans chose this location because on flat ground dragons could simply fly over and burn everything.
Weakness: Humans suffer the cold too. Limited crops at altitude means heavy reliance on artificial food and merchants. If the wind network fails the entire aerial defense collapses instantly. Supply chains are the kingdom's most critical vulnerability.
Governance: Democratic. No royal family. The Archons, a council of seven leaders each specializing in one area:
1. Agriculture and Food
2. Foreign Relations (largely useless during wartime)
3. War and Military
4. Research and Development (90% weapons focused)
5. Economics
6. Law
7. Human Life
Each Archon inhabits a separate mountain peak. Decisions require consensus making rapid unified action difficult by design.
Currency: Humans use monetary currency, unique among the three kingdoms. Dragons and demons use barter. This creates trade incompatibility, one of humanity's greatest economic challenges.
Military: Human soldiers cannot match dragons or demons physically. No claws, teeth, wings or tails. Solution: Dinosaur Military Program.
DNA samples reconstructed extinct dinosaurs. Humans and dinosaurs form complementary partnerships:
- Humans provide intelligence, tactics, ranged weapons and technology
- Dinosaurs provide physicality, mobility and natural weaponry
Standard military unit
- 3 raptors (lightly armored, machine gun mounted) - speed, flanking, intelligence
- 1 T-Rex (heavily armored, gun mounted) - durability, impact, center pressure
- 3-4 pteranodons (aerial) - sky coverage, preventing dragon aerial superiority
Raptors were reconstructed first (most compatible with human tactical thinking). T-Rex second (tank role). Program is still developmental. Confident against demons, uncertain against full dragons due to dragon armor and fire breath.
Asypherium: A mineral found near Virus's tomb. Similar to dragonsteel but flawed: too brittle (can't withstand impact), too heavy and radioactive. Dragons do something to transform raw Asypherium into functional dragonsteel that humans cannot replicate. The specific dragon forging process remains unknown to humans. Solving Asypherium's three flaws would give humans anti-dragon armor capability.
The Xenos Project: A scrapped bioweapon combining dragon DNA (physical strength and form), demon DNA (hivemind capability) and human DNA (speech comprehension and order following). Capable of swimming, temporary flight and complex tactics. Voted down by the Archon majority as too expensive and unethical. Privately sold through the Midnight Auction to recoup costs. Secretly repurchased by Stein.
Key Characters
Stein Vimsmoker - Archon of Agriculture: CEO of the Grains Corporation, main food producer and distributor for Solara. Enormously wealthy and powerful. Understands that food equals power in a kingdom that cannot feed itself. Wants the Xenos bioweapon not for war but as personal protection. Preparing for the possibility that humanity loses and riots follow, driving food prices up. Has no concern whether humanity wins or loses as war drives food prices up regardless. Plans to study the Xenos and incorporate their biology into himself, becoming his own protection rather than relying on external weapons. Has studied historical cases of bioweapons turning on creators and plans to eliminate that variable by becoming the weapon himself. Signature line: "Who will write me as a villain if all of you die? As they say, history is written by the survivors."
THE MIDNIGHT AUCTION
Started during the 2nd Crown War by rogue humans. Every winter solstice, underworld figures, elite demons, rich humans and powerful dragon authorities gather to trade illegal goods, rare items and forbidden weapons.
Rules
- All soldiers remain outside except up to three personal guards
- Hostile relations left at the door, no fighting
- Winners must pay for what they bid
- Disrupting the auction forfeits your kingdom's position in the war
Regular notable attendees: Orpheus (annually), Cosmic of the dragon guards (occasionally), Stein of the Archons (annually).
Real purpose: The after-party following the auction where lavish food from all factions is served and intelligence slips from people's mouths in relaxed settings. Orpheus's echolocation makes him the most effective intelligence gatherer at these events.
The 56th Auction (Post 3rd Crown War): The only time three major powerhouses attended simultaneously. Four Archons, Baryon (4th dragon king) and Orpheus all present because the 3rd war was so devastating all sides needed resources. Dragons traded the location of Virus's tomb (the Tempest Dome) in exchange for control of a northern sea trade route. Humans have the key to the tomb but lack the location. Dragons calculated humans couldn't open it without the unsealing method (held by demons) and that even if they did, titans cannot be controlled and would destroy the humans. Dragons miscalculated: they never accounted for a freed titan immediately going after the other tombs rather than fighting humans.
THE HUNTER GUILDS
Hunters are people working under organizations/guilds hired for anything from grocery runs to assassinations. They are humans but work across all kingdoms. Different from mages in that their abilities are varied and trained rather than inherited.
Notable guilds
- The Crow's Nest
- The White Wolf
Hunters and the Crown War: Humans cannot hire dragons or demons as allies. They can hire Hunters with money (other kingdoms use barter). Secret deal between the Archons and Hunter guilds: Hunters provide defense only, not offense. This protects Solara's borders while letting human forces commit entirely to attack. Hunters preserve their neutrality by not joining offensive operations. This deal is kept secret to avoid revealing the human hand to other kingdoms.
The Crow's Nest: Appears as an ordinary bar in Aethelgard. Access requires ordering "Black Dragon's Misery Saki 2145" from the barman. Inside it functions as an unofficial underworld police force, keeping balance between kingdoms by managing dangerous individuals and local disputes. Not arbiters of cosmic justice, just pressure valves preventing small conflicts from escalating into war triggers. Led by the three most respected hunters (not most powerful). Three divisions:
- Research and Development
- The Vanguard (frontline fighters)
- The Scouts (mission coordination, intelligence)
The White Wolf: Rival guild to the Crow's Nest. Led by Vergil, Dante's older brother. Far wealthier and more resourceful than the Crow's Nest. Controls the only harbor that can ferry people to Aethelgard.
THE MAGE CLANS
Mages are NOT part of organizations but clans. Their abilities are passed down through family heritage, giving them deeper innate knowledge of ryu but narrower range compared to Hunters.
The Three Great Mage Families
The Asterion Clan: Known for reading time itself - past, present and possibilities of the future. Supposedly extinct/disappeared. Actually transformed into the Severus. Originally lived on the Tempest Dome where they were secretly the custodians of Virus's tomb. Their original leader believed in strict neutrality (non-intervention with the future). Faction within the clan tired of watching death and destruction overthrew the original leader. Now operate as the Severus.
The Futowari Clan: Known for combat skill and blood manipulation. Samurai-esque honor-based code. Most influential clan in mage society. Direct rivals with the Argos clan. War history: aided dragons in 2nd war, neutral in 3rd war, currently neutral in 4th war (neutral for second consecutive war suggests something fractured their dragon alliance).
The Argos Clan: Known for shadow combat. The most dangerous and infamous clan due to their complete disregard for rules or honor. War history: aided demons in 1st war, neutral in 2nd, aided humans in 3rd. Currently unaligned. Pattern suggests they spread influence and debt across all factions rather than maintaining ideological consistency.
THE SEVERUS
An organization formed from the Asterion mage clan who overthrew their passive neutrality-believing leadership. Led by Omen (Aeon Greyfield). Their stated goal: release the titans to reset the world to its purest state, believing this restores balance. They believe the endless war and destruction they've foreseen across time makes existence meaningless and that their extraordinary powers of foresight obligate them to change it.
Their actual role: tools of Aeon's far larger agenda.
THE BLACK FURIES (Skyfall Reapers / Nightfall Reapers / False Titans)
Nature's mechanism for maintaining balance. When species cross the natural order too much, Black Furies are sent to eliminate the threat. In reality they are guardians and watchers of the titan tombs, preventing titans from crossing into the living world.
Origins: Born when storms meet death itself. This connects to the fact that titans manifesting or reincarnating produce storms around them.
Appearance: No fixed form. Can reshape their bodies into whatever shape is optimal for their current hunt. For hunting dragons they take a slender black lightning-based dragon form. Each species has named them differently:
- Humans: Skyfall Reapers (comes from sky)
- Dragons: Nightfall Reapers (emerges from darkness)
- Demons: False Titans (demons living above Horizon's tomb recognize a titan-like energy signature)
The Death Reaper Seal: Their primary weapon against titans. Severs a titan from this dimension and forces them back into their host or tomb. Requirements: immense focus, immense energy, must hit directly, has a countdown timer during which the seal can still be broken. Usually requires 3+ Furies per titan: one performing the seal, others holding the titan down. Widely known about but almost no one outside Black Furies can perform it.
The Royal Death Reaper Seal: Used when a titan is fully manifested and the standard seal is insufficient. Same requirements but the performing Fury sacrifices themselves completely to seal the titan. Almost no one knows this version exists.
Known Death Reaper Seal users outside Black Furies
- Kaisel (confirmed, doesn't know he's a Black Fury)
- Adam Greyfield (confirmed, used once on Alatrius)
MAIN CHARACTERS
THE GREYFIELD BROTHERS
Their parents were Atlas Greyfield (demon warlord of Malakor, one of the few demons to reach the highest military position) and Altaria (one of the four dragon guards of Aethelgard, killed on a mission). Both parents are dead. Their union was forbidden given the eternal rivalry between demon and dragon bloodlines.
The brothers don't look like demons or dragons because they grew up in human environments and their demon/dragon biology adapted to produce human forms.
The Greyfield Name System
- Ashen - from demon roots meaning "heaven's defier"
- Alatrius - from dragon roots meaning "son of eve"
- Adam - from human roots meaning "the first human"
Together their names form a creation myth and represent all three kingdoms unified in blood.
Their Biology: Half demon, half dragon. Raised in human environments causing biological adaptation into human form. However their true nature can emerge under the right conditions (Alatrius's half dragon form began emerging after years in Aethelgard, Ashen's demon and dragon genetics express through his green eyes).
Eye colors
- Ashen: Green (demon and dragon genetic blend)
- Alatrius: Yellow (not unhealthy yellow)
- Adam: Deep cold blue
ASHEN GREYFIELD (Main Protagonist)
Age: 16 at story start Appearance: Grey/ash colored hair, green eyes, not particularly heroic looking, restless energy, a scar or two from growing up scrappy Personality: Outgoing, protective, explorative, stubborn, deeply skeptical of authority and mythology, emotionally guarded but warm underneath
Power: Glitch - pure creation ryu in its original form. Currently dormant. The same power Ragna possessed. Doesn't fit any of the seven ryu categories because it predates and is the source of all categories. When Dante attempted to identify his ryu signature he could only conclude Ashen had an unusual "enhancement" type due to how quickly Ashen mastered all fundamental ryu applications (in under 3 weeks versus Dante's year+).
Cosmic Identity: Ragna's reincarnate. Ragna chose to reincarnate into a vessel that would question the ways of the world. He didn't want a believer. He wanted someone who would look at his own legend and find it insufficient. Ashen's doubt was chosen deliberately.
Backstory: Born to Atlas and Altaria. Separated from Alatrius at age 11 during a dragon raid. Spent 5 years believing Alatrius dead. Raised in a border village near Aethelgard that was secretly a constructed prison designed to protect him and keep Glitch dormant. At 16, a second dragon raid occurs (actually Alatrius returning to rescue him, followed by dragons who accompanied Alatrius). Ashen doesn't recognize Alatrius in his half-dragon form. The village burns, the orphanage and his adoptive family die. Ashen follows what he believes are the attacking dragons to Aethelgard seeking revenge.
Relationship with Ragna: Deeply resents him. Thinks Ragna is partially responsible for his parents' deaths. Believes if Ragna was truly powerful he wouldn't have disappeared, wouldn't have died, wouldn't have let the war happen. His skepticism is completely logical. The cruel irony is that Ragna chose Ashen specifically because of this critical thinking.
ALATRIUS GREYFIELD (Second Protagonist)
Age: 16 at story start Appearance: Golden and amber hair with red highlights, yellow eyes, softer features, looks kind before speaking Personality: Shy, kind, gentle, emotionally deep, afraid of his own power
Power: Destruction Ryu - almost unheard of. No subclasses because destruction doesn't branch, it ends. In pure 1v1 combat has no equal. Dangerous to allies and surroundings. Has been developing his half-dragon form unconsciously over years in Aethelgard.
Cosmic Identity: Havoc's vessel. The titan of wrath and destruction reincarnated in the gentlest possible person. Havoc destroys out of confusion about why he exists. Alatrius fears his own power for the same reason. They share the same wound. Adam performed the death reaper seal on Alatrius during a partial Havoc manifestation, pushing Havoc back more completely and adding a containment layer. This is also why the Alpha Link command didn't work on Alatrius - it hit Adam's death reaper seal and dissolved.
Backstory: Separated from Ashen at age 11 during the first dragon raid. Taken to Aethelgard. Grew up in dragon culture, raised as part of the nest. Befriended Ruby and Kaisel. Nearly mastered destruction ryu and his half-dragon form. This partial awakening unconsciously stirred Havoc, triggering Black Fury presence. At 16 Alatrius learned about Ashen through Adam's indirect guidance and returned to the border village to rescue his brother. Dragons accompanied him. The Black Fury presence turned the rescue into chaos. The village burned. Ashen didn't recognize Alatrius. Failed rescue mission returns to Aethelgard.
Relationship with Ragna: Deeply admires him. Loves the idea that someone could be enormously powerful and still be good. Wanted to be like Ragna but felt he couldn't be worthy of that given his destructive power.
Alpha Link Connection: Partial connection due to dragon genes. Can feel emotions through the link but not clear thoughts. The Alpha command does not work on him (tried by elder dragons when he attempted to leave for Ashen).
ADAM GREYFIELD (Third Brother, The Eldest)
Alias: Igris, the Crimson Swordsman Appearance: White ruffled messy hair, cold deep blue eyes, looks older than his age Personality: Cold exterior concealing a shy and friendly interior. The coldness is not personality but the residue of what performing the death reaper seal cost him.
Power: No ryu signature. The perfect vessel for a titan by the Severus's assessment. However he is one of only two confirmed humans who can perform the death reaper seal. Used it once on Alatrius during a partial Havoc manifestation.
Cosmic Identity: Adam meaning the first human. The containment between creation (Ashen) and destruction (Alatrius). His human roots representing the beginning of humanity.
Backstory: The eldest. Has been running from the Severus who want him as a titan vessel. Left his brothers to draw the danger away from them knowing the Severus would follow him. Has been secretly monitoring both brothers. Sent Alatrius information about Ashen through indirect means. Has built a legendary reputation as the Crimson Swordsman while being connected to nothing.
Role in the plot: Eventually revealed as the third Greyfield brother. Becomes the symbolic flag of human will. Represents what humans are without ryu or supernatural power: endurance, will, adaptation.
DANTE - Captain of the Black Phoenix Division
Appearance: Not specified in detail Personality: Pragmatic, protective of his crew, reads people exceptionally well, wisdom born from struggle rather than talent
Power: Fire Construction - combination of fire ryu and creation ryu. Can create anything he fully understands using fire. Slightly more proficient in fire ryu.
Abilities
- Sniper rifle made of fire, fires incendiary/explosive rounds fueled by his own ryu
- "Chevy" - flame revolver, same concept, less powerful
- Flame arm - third arm construct for blocking, grappling and holding
- Bullet Lock - constructs an invisible heat line from barrel to target's heat signature, making bullets unable to miss
- Flame Susanoo (awakening) - giant avatar wielding a bow. Performs Amaterasu: pulls back with a hundred arms and fires an arrow of flames capable of destroying mountains, leaving ash covering towns. Exhausts ALL ryu leaving Dante completely vulnerable afterward.
Backstory: Not naturally talented. Took years to find his ryu signature. Made a childhood vow with his brother Vergil to become the greatest hunters and start a guild together. Vergil outgrew him in power and the gap became insurmountable. Vergil founded the White Wolf. Dante became captain of the Black Phoenix division of the Crow's Nest. Rescued Indra as a war orphan and trained him, then refused to fully train him fearing Indra's awakening would kill him. Indra left. Holds the Yamato, the legendary demon sword stolen from Malakor by his parents. His father fought Atlas Greyfield (warlord) to steal it. His mother died fighting Altaria (dragon guard) attempting to steal the Trident of Leagues from Aethelgard.
Current mission: Sent by the Archons to Aethelgard via the White Wolf harbor. Told only to meet a merchant contact there. True mission (given to Trisha without Dante's knowledge): scout Aethelgard's military readiness. Dante sees his younger self in Ashen and takes him along, requiring Ashen to learn ryu fundamentals before reaching Aethelgard.
VERGIL - The Ice Eyed King
Dante's older brother. Leader of the White Wolf guild.
Power: Ice ryu (water subclass). Also controls water and mist. Prodigy who found his signature within a year and could activate awakening at will within that same year.
Abilities
- Ice Mirror - independent acting clone with identical swordsmanship but no ryu, cannot create another clone
- Ice Construction - creates any structure or weapon from ice (prefers katanas)
- Mist Ensnarement - fills area with mist for concealment or trapping
- Icicle Crush - creates and rotates large icicles around body as simultaneous shield and projectile weapon
- Ice Susanoo (awakening) - his LEAST favorite form. Finds it cumbersome and cannot use his ice katana effectively. Can summon hailstorms, blizzards and change entire regional climates.
Relationship with Dante: Made childhood vow together. Vergil outgrew Dante in power. Built the White Wolf as the testament that didn't need his brother. Controls the only harbor to Aethelgard. When Dante needed passage, Vergil constructed an impossible condition (steal a Futowari shuriken before deadline) knowing Dante would fail and have to ask for help, allowing Vergil to publicly announce the Crow's Nest required White Wolf assistance. Dante countered by pointing out Vergil technically asked the Crow's Nest first by assigning the mission. Vergil laughed and raised the stakes: a bet where success means Vergil makes the public announcement and failure means Dante hands over the Crow's Nest entirely. Dante accepted but required Vergil come along personally. Dante holds blackmail material: the Yamato, the legendary demon sword their parents stole, which their parents chose to give Dante rather than Vergil.
TRISHA - Dante's Subordinate
The Archons hold her parents in jail. They used this leverage to give her the real mission (scouting Aethelgard's military capability) without telling Dante, knowing Dante would refuse the dangerous mission if he knew. Trisha must carry this secret while functioning as a trusted subordinate.
INDRA THUNDER - Dante's Former Pupil
Backstory: War orphan rescued by Dante. Watched his family burned by the dragon army. Trained under Dante until Dante refused to fully train him, fearing Indra's dual signatures (metal and lightning, subclasses of earth and water) would magnetize and crush/electrocute him from inside upon awakening. Indra left, feeling rejected.
Power: Metal and lightning ryu. Self-taught after leaving Dante.
Abilities
- Storm Net - disperses metal sand particles then electrifies them, creating an inescapable stunning net
- Indra's Arrow - creates a sniper rifle that fires condensed laser beams piercing any armor. Requires storms or electrical elements nearby to supplement his ryu
- Modified Soryu - can reverse polarity of his detection sphere. Negative polarity: force field repelling attacks. Positive polarity: attracting objects. Limited radius but low ryu cost
- Thunder Palm - close quarters. Must place palm on opponent's body. Three part: razor metal dust cuts invisibly, lightning blasts into wounds, wind pushes opponent away. Later acquires wind ryu instinctively
- Storm Susanoo (awakening) - giant metal mech controlled by electrical signals from his body, modeled on Dante's Flame Susanoo
- Raijin's Judgement (ultimate) - In susanoo form, attaches metal particles to target then summons a massive lightning bolt shaped like a dragon striking down. Can destroy mountains. Aftermath: either electrocuted (not enough metal to channel discharge) or crushed from inside (not enough metal left to channel magnetization). His greatest move proves Dante right about everything.
VIN / THE TOYMAKER (True name: Alphonse)
Age: Approximately 1,500 years old. Appearance: Presents as an older trader with a practical build and a smile that reads as permanently default. His true body is almost entirely replaced with metal, the augmentation of a man who ran out of flesh before he ran out of grief. One exception: his heart remains organic, the only part of himself he could never bring himself to mechanize. Power: Creation ryu, necromancy subclass. Can animate constructed objects by anchoring fragments of soul to a physical form, not full souls, just enough to move without meaningfully diminishing the source. This is the same principle that let him build living toys, and the same principle that has never once been enough to bring back the dead. Public Identity: A trader supplying essence stones and rare materials to the Crow's Nest. This gives him legitimate government-sanctioned access to resources and cover for maintaining a private lab, without anyone questioning why. No one, including Dante, knows Vin is anything more than what he appears to be. Vin faked his own death decades ago; the name is a fabrication built to bury Alphonse the Toymaker permanently. History: Alphonse was a renowned inventor during the 1st Great Crown War (one of the war's most brutal iterations, second only to the 3rd), where he created the weapons, mechs, and beasts that let humanity fight on par with dragons and demons, including the original work that would later become the Xenos Project. He was a hero. Then peace came, and so did scrutiny. His experiments had required torture, pain, and invasive augmentation of living things. "Monster" replaced "hero." The Archons of the time hired the Crow's Nest to eliminate him.
He escaped that life instead by disappearing into an ordinary one. He fell in love with a woman named Trisha (unrelated to Dante's subordinate of the same name, a coincidence, not a connection), and worked as an actual toymaker to lay low, discovering he had a genuine gift for it. His creation/necromancy ryu let him bring his toys to something like life. The 2nd Crown War broke that peace. The Archons needed weapons again, since dragons and demons had adapted around everything from the first war. Alphonse refused the recall, until the Archons threatened his family directly. He complied, traveled to Solara, and was asked to create half-living soldiers. He refused, explaining the difference plainly: toys have a physical anchor and only borrow soul fragments too small to matter. Soldiers would need real souls, taken whole. He left rather than cross that line. Humanity lost badly in the 2nd war regardless. Furious, the Archons had his house destroyed, killing his wife and newborn daughter, Bel, crushed in the rubble. What followed was decades of a broken man trying to reverse what he'd allowed to happen once by talking to the wrong people. He turned every subclass of every element he could access toward one question: how do you bring someone back. Fire, water, earth, light, darkness, destruction, creation and its necromancy branch, all of it, exhaustively, and none of it held the answer. Something about the mechanism of life was missing that ryu alone couldn't supply. His body failed under the weight of centuries of this pursuit, and he did the only thing that made sense to an inventor: he replaced the failing flesh with steel, piece by piece, all except the heart, the one part of him his wife had loved that had nothing to do with his mind or his hands. Keeping it is both the last piece of his humanity and his greatest unhealed wound. Bel, in the closest form he could manage, exists again as a music box that plays a small song. Not resurrection. Not even close, by his own standard. But it is the nearest thing to her he has ever produced across centuries of trying, and he keeps it regardless. Combat Profile: Not the strongest fighter physically, and he has no illusions about that. What makes him dangerous is everything built around that limitation. A set of mechanical tentacles extend from his back at will, giving him reach, versatility, and a second layer of offense/defense independent of his own body. More significantly, centuries spent experimenting with every element and subclass in pursuit of resurrection left him with an almost unmatched practical knowledge of ryu typing, meaning he tends to already know the counter to whatever signature he's facing before the fight starts. He wins by out-preparing, not out-powering. Present Day: Still quietly pursuing resurrection, still failing, still searching. When Glitch first registered on him, through Ashen's shattered essence stone and later the handshake, Vin recognized something none of the seven elements or their branches had ever given him: a category of power that predates and underlies all of them. He has a hunch, unconfirmed, that Glitch might be the missing variable in the formula of life itself. This makes Vin dangerous in a way none of the war's major factions are prepared for. He isn't pursuing the throne, the war, or the titans. He wants one specific impossible thing back, and he has just met someone who might, accidentally and unknowingly, be able to give it to him.
THE COSMOS AND MULTIVERSE
Reality 151 is the current reality of the story. It is the only reality across the entire infinite multiverse where Glitch exists and where Ragna succeeded. In every other reality Ragna either never existed or failed.
In each reality, there exists the 7 titans as they stabilize that particular universe's energy. Now when the original was splitted apart, the smaller 7 fragments also splintered into smaller pieces and was distributed into each multiverse. The largest fragments whereabouts are not known but is speculated to be in some distant and hidden 7th dimensional universe. All except for one. The shard of creation, it was only found in reality 151.
Aeon Greyfield (Omen): A parallel version of Ashen from a reality where Ragna failed. His world was completely taken over by titans. Does not possess Glitch but has extraordinary swordsmanship and can control and read minds, show memories to others and steal memories from people. Has killed 150 versions of Ashen across the multiverse, stealing their abilities, finding none of them possessed Glitch. Came to reality 151 as the only reality with Glitch.
Has been in reality 151 since Ragna's age, ageless from accumulated stolen abilities. Manipulated Ragna's dreams to plant the prophecy. Engineered the Crown War through the Severus to drain the three kingdoms to the point where nobody can resist when he takes the throne. Wants to use Glitch not just to save reality 151 but to reshape the entire multiverse.
His plan: Weaken all three kingdoms through centuries of Crown War. Align with the crimson moon to weaken titan seals. Awaken Glitch through Ashen (only Ashen can awaken it himself). Take the Ivory Throne, control all ryu across Aragon, release the titans, use Glitch to reshape the multiverse.
The fatal flaw: Glitch is dormant and only Ashen can awaken it. Aeon cannot take it by force yet. His entire plan requires Ashen's cooperation at the last step, which is the one thing he cannot guarantee.
His appearance: Same age as Ashen in appearance but looks tired, old and distorted behind the youth. The exhaustion of someone who has been alive and watching across more time than civilizations have existed.
THE PROPHECY
Aeon planted this in Ragna's dreams. Ragna wrote it in his journal believing it came from a mysterious muse. After Ragna's death it spread across all three kingdoms becoming the defining religious text of the era.
"When the war has spilled bloods for 2009 years, Wait 9 tides and 18 moons and one rise of sun, to see he in his glory The power that stands above all, the light in the darkness The flame born and ash fell child The seven horned beasts shall bow before his presence And the angels of creation shall herald his arrival All hail, the inheritor of the Ivory Throne, the venerated monarch The mortal who shall shake the chains of destiny"
Time units: One tide = one month. One moon = one day. The appointed dawn falls on the 9th month, 18th day at dawn.
The calendar problem: The calendar has shifted since the titans' age. Nobody can calculate the appointed date. Aeon knows it because he wrote it. The crimson moon serves as a secondary signal visible to everyone.
Key lines decoded
- "The flame born and ash fell child" - references both Alatrius (flame born, dragon) and Ashen (ash fell, demon/heaven's defier). The prophecy was always about both brothers.
- "The seven horned beasts shall bow" - the seven titans recognizing Ragna returned
- "The mortal who shall shake the chains of destiny" - a titan choosing mortality, shaking the chains that titans represent
PLOT STRUCTURE
Inciting Incident: Ashen and Alatrius lived together from birth to age 11. First dragon raid takes Alatrius. Ashen believes him dead for 5 years. Age 16: second dragon raid occurs. This is actually Alatrius (now in partial half-dragon form after years in Aethelgard) returning to rescue Ashen, accompanied by dragons who insisted on coming with him. Havoc's partial stirring from Alatrius nearly mastering destruction ryu triggered Black Fury presence. The chaos results in the village burning, the orphanage destroyed, adoptive family killed. Ashen doesn't recognize Alatrius in half-dragon form. Ashen joins Dante's crew (conveniently passing through on their Archon-assigned mission) seeking revenge against dragons.
The Bet and the Harbor: Dante needs the White Wolf harbor to reach Aethelgard. Vergil's impossible condition. Counter and bet. Vergil accompanies them. The impossible shuriken mission begins.
En Route to Aethelgard: Ashen learning ryu on the fly, mastering fundamentals in 3 weeks. Dante misdiagnoses him as enhancement type. Black Furies begin pursuing the group, drawn by Glitch's dormant signature. First terrifying encounter. Glitch stirs slightly for the first time.
Aethelgard Arc: Arrival. Dragon kingdom. Two titan vessels converging. Kaisel beginning to awaken to his Black Fury nature. Full Black Fury invasion of Aethelgard. During the chaos Scarface escapes Malakor, arrives at Aethelgard, takes Ashen and returns to Malakor. Alatrius fails to rescue Ashen again. Dante's group scattered.
Malakor Arc: Scarface delivers Ashen to Malakor alive. Demons cannot kill him due to Fatalis implications of Scarface's endorsement. Orpheus meets Ashen. Ashen navigating demon culture, proving himself through Fatalis principles without realizing it. Ashen's path toward being recognized by demon culture as someone Fatalis validates. Atlas Greyfield's legacy discovered. Ashen eventually recognized as demon king candidate.
Revelation and Reunion: Three brothers eventually in the same location. The fight between them. Recognition. Revelation of what each carries. Adam's secret about Alatrius. The death reaper seal story. What Adam sacrificed. The full truth of their parents. The truth about Ragna.
The Final War: The three kingdoms unifying. Aeon and the Severus making their move. The titans released or partially freed as the crimson moon peaks and the throne is destroyed. The unexpected alliance: Alatrius convincing Havoc. Havoc convincing the other titans. Six reluctant titans joining three brothers against Aeon.
The Resolution: Aeon facing not just Ashen with Glitch but Ashen with brothers. The one variable across 150 realities that never existed. Connection offered instead of power wielded. Whether Aeon takes his brother's hand is the last question the story asks.
THEMATIC CORE
The story is about one thing expressed through every character and conflict simultaneously: connection as the answer to incompleteness.
- The titans shattered and incomplete, reaching toward wholeness through the wrong method
- Aeon crossing infinite realities alone having forgotten what it felt like to not be
- Dante and Vergil unable to rebuild what they lost
- Indra proving himself to a mentor who isn't watching
- Orpheus building a kingdom around a wound that never closed
- Ashen and Alatrius separated by every force in existence, finding each other anyway
- Adam protecting his brothers by staying away, the loneliest form of love
